Weekly Shop

I wanted to take a photo of my weekly shop I just did at Aldi. My proteins for the week are salmon fillets and hoki fillets, my carbohydrates will be Coconut, Lemongrass & Chilli rice sachets and plenty of salad. I like to eat a snack as I read Reddit before bed, which is what the pears and oranges are for.

Dinner

Oyster blade steak, brown rice and quinoa and a garden salad!

The last evening out before another 6 weeks of lock down.

Shisha

I went out to a shisha bar the other night. Shisha has been my absolute favourite recently and I love it because it’s all herbal – no tobacco involved! As you can see, I have a love for gigantic hoops, they’re so glam.

Pomegranate Smoothie

I made this beautiful smoothie this evening:

Bananas
Passion fruit
Pomegranate Seeds
Pineapple
Vanilla flavoured protein
Chia seeds
Collagen powder


Back to Gym!

So my gym has not yet opened due to COVID-19, but I found a gym that does reasonable contracts with no lock in, so I can quit as soon as my regular gym opens. I cannot begin to explain to you all how happy I was to be finally back inside a gym and around weight machines! I did the most incredible leg session yesterday afternoon and my legs are burning today. I feel so motivated now and starting the day with a weight lifting session each morning, is the most euphoric feeling.

Berry Crumble

My nutritious dessert for this evening:

– Greek yogurt
– Blackberries
– Blueberries
– Pecan & Maple Clusters

There is nothing better than getting into bed at the end of the day knowing you have followed a clean and healthy diet all day and your body is operating at peak performance.

Walk & Lunch

I went for a 90 minute walk this morning, made lunch and worked on my business all afternoon. Time for Netflix and more delicious food.

The garden salad is marinated with Chilli & Coriander oil, salt and pepper. Spectacular!

Post Workout Protein Shake

I just finished an incredible upper body session and had this post workout shake.

My friend and I have made a pact to stop drinking alcohol except for special occasions because honestly, it’s such a detriment to my mental health. You all know I love a wine but it destroys my mood the next day and for me, while I don’t drink excessive amounts, alcohol is largely a coping mechanism to de-stress and that is not healthy. I guess I have been drinking more because of lock down and nothing to do. Anyways, it’s helpful to have someone staying sober with me because it creates accountability.
